Logo University of WorcesterThe University of Worcester is at the forefront of progressive development in its chosen fields of higher education, scholarship and associated research nationally and internationally. UW promotes lifelong learning and many of our students are mature students studying for professional and/or postgraduate qualifications. It is renowned for helping students with ability and commitment to achieve to their potential. The Centre for Inclusive Learning Support at UW has a national and international reputation in the field of disability and its Director has managed 17 funded disability related projects in the last 10 years. Its focus is on research, consultancy, project management and collating/developing resources to support inclusion, particularly with regard to disabled students.

University of Worcester's key functions within the new project, Qatrain2, are as contractor and coordinator. In acting as a partner, UW will focus on the identification, quality assurance, and sharing of resources. This coordinated approach will ensure that the highest quality resources reach maximum numbers of students and will benefit students by extending existing excellent practice. These projects not only enhance the Centre's own practice but also help others in the University, including academic staff, to become more aware of disabled students' needs and how they might be addressed.

2. Marie Curie Association, Bulgaria

Logo Marie Curie AssociationMarie Curie Association is a non-profit, NGO. The team of the Association has extensive knowledge of issues in relation to mentoring, informal learning, education, training and employment .Experts in different sectors are involved: management; e-learning, legislation, education and etc. Marie Curie Association has managed and co-coordinated several international projects in the field of setting-up mentoring schemes, ODL and e-learning, career guidance, prequalification, employment, laboured law consultancies, mentoring, networks of employers of disability, validation of non-formal and informal learning practices, education, and unemployment mostly for disabled people particularly at graduate and managerial levels, and all have had an emphasis on IT and web-resources, paper-based carriers, Sign language and Braille format. These projects involve more than 7 000 people per annum. We have been involved in several LdV projects both as contractors/coordinators and partners. Marie Curie has a strong relations with educational and training institutions, national and local authorities - Municipalities; NAVET(National Agency for Vocational Education and Training); SAPD(State Agency for People with Disabilities) and EU networks Workability Europe. It provides research and consultancy for external organisations, and has a large network of contacts. Project management expertise at local, regional and national level. Previous Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig project experience.
The dissemination practice of the association has been very successful, thanks to our PR department which keeps very close relations with all mass media, relevant organisations, decision makers, local and national authorities.

3. University of Ioannina, Greece

University of Ioannina
The University of Ioannina reflects traditional divisions in various branches of knowledge. It offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes and grants respective degrees. Sixteen departments are grouped into schools, representing broader areas of knowledge. The Department of Primary Education educates teachers for the first level of school. The department also offers a training centre for teachers of disabled people. The department of educating teachers of disabled people has extensive experience in this subject. The scholars involved in this department have the necessary knowledge, expertise and experience of educating and training both people with disabilities and trainers for disabled people.

4. The Association H Foundation, Romania

Foundation H The Association H Foundation for Distance Learning of Disabled People is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, apolitical organisation. Since 1991 our mission is to ensure equal opportunities within education for disadvantaged (physically, ethnically, socially or geographically) children and adults and for specialists working with them.

Since 1997 we have been implementing both national and European projects with financial support from the Grundtvig and Leonardo da Vinci programmes at the European Commission which aim to contribute to the integration of people with disabilities into society, education and employment within Romania. As a result of these projects, we have been able to introduce new approaches to education and training for people with disabilities and disability specialists and to improve the quality of services for people with disabilities.

We are currently focusing on:
- Vocational training for young people with mobility impairments;
- Education and instruction for specialists working with children with physical impairments, children in hospital or children with special needs;
- Adult education;
- Training and counselling for the parents of children with special needs;
- Development and carrying out of auxiliary, original, didactic materials.
